A labyrinth of narrow streets, small low houses typical of the area and numerous restaurants all combine to give this district a special place in the hearts of the people of Sablais.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Before reaching the magnificent <strong>Sables d'Olonne<\/strong> and discover the embankment for a long walk along the beach, you can't miss <strong>Penotte Island<\/strong> without stopping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph translation-block\"><strong>L'\u00eele Penotte ou la Dame au coquillage<\/strong> is the story of an artist who wanted to give her childhood neighbourhood a new lease of life. And so, in 1997, with the consent of the owners and the town council, she began to paint shell frescoes on the walls of the houses. A paradise, I tell you! <br>Words sometimes sound hollow, so...
