DAY 3 : Greed and thirst for learning…
For this third day under the sign “Zen and Relaxation”, we offer you a tasty cocktail. We are fortunate in Maché to have a few artisans who deserve our attention.
Located just a few steps from the campsite, the House of Delights is an artisanal cookie factory that should make your mouth water. If you are the curious type and want to know everything (or almost everything) about the secrets of making these delicious sweets, you will be won over.
A visit to be done with the family ideal to start the day.

On the way to the castle of Apremont…
By putting down your suitcases in our campsite, you have made the choice of calm and nature.
An escapade in Apremont, labeled small city of character, makes sense.
The visit of the Renaissance castle of Apremont is in our opinion a must.
Sometimes we have to remove some of our reticence (another castle among many others we sometimes hear). Yes, but this castle overlooking the city has an incredible charm.
We will not dwell on its history. The guided tour is great and we highly recommend you to choose this option. It is enough to read the enthusiastic comments posted about these passionate women for this to be obvious.
Good to know: every summer, a couple of acrobats liven up the courtyard with energy. Throughout the park of the castle, many activities (often in the form of challenges) and games are available to children.
Deckchairs and garden furniture also await visitors for a well-deserved break (many stairs).
It takes about 2 hours to visit the castle but you can extend the pleasure…
By picnicking, for example, at the edge of La Vie to enjoy a breathtaking view of the building.
If you are looking for a good place to eat, the restaurant Les Vieux De La vieille will do the trick. You will eat well at very reasonable prices.
You will definitely receive a warm welcome.
A relaxing afternoon à la carte…
The vacations are also an opportunity to recharge your batteries.
After such a busy morning, you will have plenty of time to rest.
Some of you will storm the deckchairs to immerse yourself in reading a novel. Others will choose to go to the base of leisure of the Lake of Apremont to try the practice of the paddle or simply to “bubble” at the edge of water.
Others will have ticked off an event on their agenda that should not be missed under any circumstances…
The famous, unavoidable petanque competition… An unmissable event placed under the seal of conviviality. Moments of sharing and laughter guaranteed!
To finish this day rich in emotions, how about preparing a barbecue to cook some delicious products brought back from the market of Saint Gilles Croix de Vie.
And why not take the opportunity to honor the sardines…
Close your eyes and imagine the picture…
Succulent grilled sardines, potatoes grated as it should be as a side dish and the small cream with chives to complete the whole.
