Zen experience and relaxation : Day 3
DAY 3: Gourmet pleasure and a thirst for learning...

For this third day of "Zen and Relaxation", we offer you a tasty cocktail. Maché is fortunate to have a number of artisans who deserve our attention.
Located a stone's throw from the camping Val de Vie, the house of delights is a traditional biscuit factory that should make your mouth water. If you're the inquisitive type and want to know everything (or almost everything) about the secrets of making these delicious sweets, you'll be won over.
The factory outlet is located in the centre of the village, where you'll find biscuits, ice creams.... and other regional products to put in your luggage when you leave.
On the way to Apremont castle...
A visit to the Renaissance castle of Apremont is, in our opinion, a must.
We sometimes have to overcome a few reservations (we sometimes hear that it's just another castle among so many others). Yes, but this castle overlooking the town has an incredible charm.
We won't dwell on its history. The guided tour is brilliant and we strongly advise you to choose this option. In fact, you only have to read the rave reviews posted about these enthusiasts to see that it's a no-brainer.
Good to know:Every summer, a couple of acrobats liven up the courtyard with energy. Throughout the castle grounds, there are numerous activities (often in the form of challenges) and games available for children.
Loungers and garden furniture also await visitors for a well-earned break (numerous staircases).
It takes around 2 hours to visit the castle, but you can extend the pleasure...
Picnicking on the banks of La Vie, for example, to enjoy a breathtaking view of the building.
If you're looking for a good place to eat, Les Vieux De La vieille is the place for you. You'll eat well at very reasonable prices, and you're sure to receive a warm welcome.
A relaxing afternoon à la carte...
After such a busy morning, you'll have plenty of time to relax.
Some of you will storm the deckchairs to read a novel. Others will be heading to the Lac d'Apremont leisure centre to try their hand at paddle-boarding, or simply to relax by the water.
And still others will have ticked off an event in their diary that's not to be missed under any circumstances...
The famous, unmissable pétanque competition... A not-to-be-missed, convivial event. It's guaranteed to be a great time of sharing and laughter!
To round off this exciting day, how about preparing a barbecue and cooking some of the delicious produce brought back from the Balkans? Saint Gilles Croix de Vie market.
And why not take the opportunity to celebrate sardines...
Close your eyes and imagine the picture...
Succulent grilled sardines, nicely grilled potatoes as a side dish and a little chive cream to round it all off.
We're already licking our chops, aren't you?
